About Me
 I have delivered one-to-one coaching and group training for nearly twenty years, working with both organisations and individuals. My depth of experience in training people in skills such as assertiveness and stress- and time-management, means that I am able to bring an added dimension to coaching. I am often able to help clients develop the skills they need to attain their life coaching goals.
A graduate of the London School of Economics, I have trained staff in the UK’s leading academic institutions, such as University of Oxford. My course in assertive communication has become one of the most popular with staff since it began in 1997 and is now licensed to the university.
I have extensive experience in the corporate, charity and educational sectors, with all levels of staff, front of house, clerical, research, academic, medical practitioners, computer staff, supervisors and senior managers.
In my work with charities and non-profit-making organisations, I have coached and trained user groups such as mums who use Sure Start services, and also volunteers, such as those who befriend disabled and other vulnerable people in the community through Disability Action.
Before qualifying as a trainer, I worked as PA, researcher, public relations officer, fund raiser and recruiter in environments as diverse as parliament, local government, and a social welfare charity. This has given me wide knowledge and experience of the workplace, invaluable for coaching and training people in both personal and professional matters.
 I am author of several books and training manuals, published by Gower Publishing in UK, Far East, Europe & USA, a member of Mediation UK and the Society of Authors, and registered as an approved provider by UCoSDA (University Vice Chancellors’ Staff Development Association). I am a qualified Life Coach with a Diploma in Life Coaching from the Life Coaching Institute.
